study with tube, body, and rotating platform (2017 / 2020)
PVC-tube, wood, stepper motors, microcontroller, program, gear, rechargeable batteries, duration: 5 min

“How can a choreography be developed from the characteristics of an object?” The performance is a movement study of the interaction between body and hose on a programmed platform. Thereby the choreography emerges as the result of reciprocal interaction of the individual components. The body follows the properties of the material and conversely challenges it. At the same time, a sound is created by the vibration of the computer-controlled motors that steer the platform. In this way, the individual elements merge into a bizarre entity in which the human being appears as a questionable thing among things.
