Unlike the usual perception of a sound that leads to its source, this machine creates several sound “clouds” within its architectural environment. It triggers so-called room modes. These are low-frequency sounds that occur simultaneously at separate areas in the given space. By the position and program, the object creates different shapes of sounds and therefore a sonic response to its surrounding architecture. The schematic shows how the sound clouds may be distributed through the room.
